WHERE CAN I FIND FIRMWARE UPDATES FOR THE FLEX PLATFORM?
Because the Flex Radios are also updateable, we provide you with the firmware updates via the flex.dynavin.com page.
This is in the Flex (and also in the Dynavin 8 Pro)
Despite quite different prices, the equipment of the two platforms is similar. By the way, it is very easy to operate all current Dynavin radios for users who have owned a different radio before. The software is mature and the operation is almost self-explanatory.
The display
The screen of the two platforms is not only the same size, but both have the same resolution of 1280x 720 pixels. The anti-reflective display reduces disturbing light reflections. Thanks to the anti-reflection display, you can still see something on the device even with stronger sunlight. Capacitive touch panels are resistant to scratches and can be operated intuitively.
Performance completely sufficient
Although the different model names Flex and Pro suggest otherwise, the processing power of all Dynavin radios is identical. Both platforms have speaker outputs with a power of 45 watts. Also, both platforms have integrated Bluetooth hands-free with audio streaming, 2 x USB port and AUX input for music and video, 5 x preamplifier outputs, are directly compatible with the multifunction steering wheel and the MFA display in the speedometer.
Difference 1: Good FM radio reception against very good FM radio reception
This is probably where the biggest difference between Flex and Pro platform is hidden. But that doesn’t mean That Dynavin has neglected the model with the lowest price. Dynavin 8 Pro has an NXP 7751 + an NXP 6657 radio tuner and the Flex has become an NXP 6638+ a 6657.
The reception of the Flex platform may not quite arrive at that of the original radio, but the radio provides an impressive reception for the price.
Difference 2: Equipment and price
We mentioned at the beginning that the Flex is without Z-Link function (Wireless Apple CarPlay, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and navigation software for 299 Euro.
With Z-Link, the Flex Radio is for 399 euros.
The Dynavin 8 Pro offers a complete solution and is only available with ilink and iGO NextGen Europa navigation software. For this it is available from 599 euros.
The Flex platform is a neatly equipped mid-range radio and costs from 299 euros with sufficient features. It is a good choice for anyone who likes to make traffic-safe calls and listen to music in the car.
The Dynavin 8 Pro remains the strongest model. It stands out especially with the triple tuner and the perfect radio reception.
